40 years of Klaus F. Meyer GmbH (KFM)

Small company – well-known name in the chemical trade

 We are very pleased to inform you that we can celebrate our 40th company anniversary. A sign of continuity in a changing sector and in changing times.

Despite all the difficult market conditions, they still exist – companies that stand out for their high level of competence and reliability.

Founded on May 1, 1982 by Klaus Meyer in a small office, KFM quickly developed from a one-man operation into a global player with a staff of 14 and ever-increasing sales. In 2021, for example, the company reported sales of 17.6 million Euros, making it one of the top 100 chemical trading companies worldwide.

It is precisely this mixture of regional roots and internationality that is one of the company’s secret recipes.

Early on, the company ventured into the Middle Kingdom and sourced chemicals from China, finally establishing its own office in Shanghai-Puxi in 2004. But also from other countries, such as India, Poland, Italy  and also Germany, products are purchased and sold to the entire chemical industry. The application area of the sold chemicals ranges from pharmaceuticals, agro to fragrances and the general chemical industry. Our customers are not only small chemical companies, but also globally active and well-known companies have been our loyal customers for years.

KFM is focused on quality, reliability, strength and market trends. The company stands on a solid foundation, grown by a trustful cooperation with our customers and our suppliers / manufacturers worldwide. We would like to thank all our business partners for their trust and long-time loyalty in us.
